Photos Of What’s Opening Soon
Posted by Foobooz on August 13th, 2006
All week Foobooz will be taking a photographic tour of some restaurants that are opening soon.
Today we start with West Philadelphia, Graduate Hospital Area (G-Ho) and a place in Fairmount.
Chef Jose Garces of Amada is planning on opening a Mexican restaurant at 40th and Chestnut in the new development there known simply as the Hub.
The Dock Street Brew Pub hopes to come back to life at 50th Street and Baltimore Avenue. The new brew pub would be located in an old firehouse that was a farmers market until last November.
Joining Grace Tavern, Divan Turkish Kitchen and the Sidecar in G-Ho will be a new as yet unnamed restaurant/cafe with a liquor license along Grays Ferry Avenue opposite Naval Square.
Not only does House of Blues plan on opening a room at 15th and Chestnut, they also plan on a larger spot at 16th and Washington, although there’s no sign of work on the building as of Saturday.
Renovations have recently begun at the former Cuvee Notre Dame location at 17th & Green in Fairmount. Rumor has it that the people from Plough and the Stars are involved in the concept.
Tomorrow look for five more sites to be featured.
