Buca di Beppo To Close

Posted by Foobooz on October 15th, 2007

Center City Buca di Bepo

Down goes Buca di Beppo. Down goes Buca di Beppo. Have Center City’s Italian BYOBs taken down the corporate goliath Buca di Beppo? Maybe. Or perhaps it was the $31,875 a month rent. But any which way, there will soon be one less Italian chain in Center City Philadelphia.

The Minneapolis-based company, which has upwards of 90 locations in 25 states, is set to close the Center City branch as soon as a replacement tenant is found.

      Are you being sarcastic?

Yeah. It sure is unique. I especially like how they have the phrase “Authentic Immigrant Dining” in green neon.

Don’t worry Andy. You’ve still got Chili’s and Olive Garden for unique dining experiences.

Why do people have to be so rude? Andy, I loved it too and I too am sorry to see it go. I also want to apologize for these rude people who have nothing better to do than make fun of peoples remarks.

WoW! Some people must really be Ignorant!! Where else can you, pretty much get your way, have 10-15 guest, have a great time, leave with a full stomach, have left overs for next days lunch, eat GREAT food & only spent $60-$100. (NOWHERE, FOOLS). This place is hot and amazing and “if” OPERATED properly will prosper again. In some places you get treated like ‘famiglia’!! The staff knows your name, thay know what you drink & eat, etc…. Buca di Beppo is extremely unique and the seperate rooms and pictures make an experience!! Take 10-15 guest out sit at the POPE ROOM table and enjoy an amazing atmosphere!! If you have any doubts about what I’m writing come check me out @ BUCA di BEPPO Naples. As Dick Vitale would say, “YEEAAH BABY”!!!!!!

I’m not from Philly, never even been there, but you were talking about Buca closing the door’s. Well, they have major financial problems through out the corporation. Basically due to in-stores management and not to forget, some five finger mucho money from the organization. But back to management: They hire wayward chefs, who in turn hires illegal personel (San Diego, for instance) That don’t even have a right to work here card. Hope they don’t have Hep C. They don’t pay employees what there worth, so they hire cheep labor. The general manager let go the people who strive, and do the job asked of them, in order to save a buck, and turn out bad food in a ticket time way past due. The food is, however ‘O.K., but traditional ??? It’s all make shift Italian, urbanized. Stuff mushroom’s made with cream cheese, huh. Sound’s like Chili’s to me. Just my thought’s. Of course, I’m the one they let go.
