Do you fancy yourself a “Top Chef”? Here’s your chance to find out if you have what it takes. The producers are hosting open auditions in Philly as they conduct their search for contestants for the show. The details:

When: Wednesday March 4th from 10AM-2PM
Where: XIX (Nineteen) at the Bellevue
More Info: www.bravotv.com/casting

Here’s a list of other cities that also have open calls: San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

C’mon, Philly chefs, pack your knives and go to the audition!

Does anyone have any suggestions of local chefs you’d like to see compete? We’ve been tossing some names around in the hallowed halls of Foobooz World HQ, but we want to hear what you think.

Food Court at the Bellevue
200 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA

But are they SHOOTING “Top Chef” in Philly? THAT’S what I’d really like to see…

I’d like to see that clown Brian Duffy from Kildare’s. he reminds me of Brian from the 3rd season, the oceanaire hack. he’d be good TV….not so sure about good eats

From my one experience at Root, I would say the chef/owner there is the perfect twofer. Not only is he cocky & arrogant, but his food is sometimes good and sometimes terrible.

Wasn’t David Ansill supposed to be on the show this season? Jim Burke has all his duck in a row with the Best New Chef title, I would love to see Jonny Mac or Chip Roman on the show.

There was a chef at Pif who was super sweet and just loved sharing/talking about food… I don’t know his name though… brown hair, mustache?? Maybe we need someone charming who also knows his stuff to represent our town.

      Shola. Jonny Mac. Me.

Johnny Mac definitely. He’d be the hottie of the show… oooh or Jeff Michaud from Osteria.

Marcie Turney would be probably be a shoe-in. Plus she’s got such a nice range that she wouldn’t be boring. (Unlike Rhadika… indian indian indian… or Fabio… italian italian italian… snooooze)

Any of the starr guys would have been great… although I would have like to see Stephen judge when he has his own chef in the competition. Didn’t he say that he is meaner to people that work for him? Now THATS something I want to see.

I think Chef Brian Duffy would be kick a** on top chef. Not only is his food brilliant, but he’s sexy on tv and in person….
