Dollar Oysters

Posted by Foobooz on February 17th, 2009

A reader asked us yesterday where to find oysters in the city as we wait for the renovation of the Oyster House on Sansom Street.

It dawned on us that not only do we know a few places that offer oysters but the three that jumped to mind also offer them for just $1 a piece during happy hour.

So consider Happy Hour oysters at Ansill, Coquette or Pub & Kitchen.

if you want a spruced up oyster…the oyster shooters @ umai are intense in a good way. 4 different types of egg are involved!

I had the Happy Hour special at Coquette a couple Sundays ago and they were excellent! (And HH is daily there!)

I think Johnny Brenda’s still does happy hour oysters as well.

I wouldn’t eat at Coquette if it were free. I do like Ansill, but I haven’t been to Pub and Kitchen yet. Maybe it’s time.
