Word is the EPX neighborhood association gave the owner everything he wanted with some concessions quite a while back. Way to go Phillymag for demonizing a neighborhood association who actually did the right thing.

We live in a city, let's accomodate for reasonable uses though maybe not ideal for everyone. Is this bar-restaurant going to be an overall negative for the neighborhood when you consider all factors, not just parking and an occasional drunk guy yelling at 2:00 am? No. Clearly not.

John Klein came down to and EPX Community meeting and gave a great presentation. It looks like he has really good plans for the place. I believe the civic association voted in favor of his zoning variance. It would be a shame to see this location flounder into nothing. We could use a place like the Drinkery down here.
