Beer News To Go

Bella Vista Beer Distributors have a cool new thing, it’s their Beer Exchange Program. Buy a case of American craft beer and swap a bottle from your case for one of the beers you’ll find at the counter. A great way to try a new beer. [Restaurant Club]

Joe Sixpack confirms that the Foodery is looking for a third location. Likely locales include, Manayunk, Chestnut Hill or Roxborough. [Beer Radar]

The Northeast gets a high-end takeout store this weekend as the Craft Beer Outlet opens at Morrell Plaza Shopping Center at Frankford and Knights Road. [Beer Radar]

And when did Latimer Deli become big beer bottle heaven? The 15th Street bodega, probably best known as the cigarette store next to McGlinchey’s now has more than half an aisle dedicated to big bottles from Europe and the United States. [twitpic]

Dude, the Latimer Deli has been my go-to for beer takeout for-evah. The prices are way better than Foodery and the selection is completely decent. Way to smash the secret!

The Brewers Outlet on G’town Ave. in Mt. Airy also does the beer exchange thing.

Kudos to Bella Vista — great idea — but I thought that was illegal?

Latimer has always been a good place to get good beer. foodery isn’t considering UCity?

Foodery needs to be @ the Dub C! And as for Latimer Deli, they’v had a descent selection for a looong time.

Yeah, the Brewer’s Outlet has been doing the beer swap for a while. Fantastic idea and everyone should pick it up, but credit where credit’s due.
