Carolyn Wyman’s “The Great Philly Cheesesteak Book” lands her a cover story with City Paper listing the best cheesesteaks you’ve never had. We’ll have to take her word for it because she’s right, we haven’t been to any of these places.

  1. Barry’s Steaks – Roxborough
  2. Claymont Steak Shop – Claymont, DE
  3. Donkey’s Place – Camden, NJ
  4. Frusco Steaks – Mayfair
  5. Mr. V’s – Parkwood
  6. Leo’s Steak Shop – Folcroft, PA
  7. Mama’s Pizza – Bala Cynwyd, PA
  8. Pagano’s Steaks & Hoagies – West Oak Lane
  9. Phillip’s Steaks – South Philadelphia
  10. Spataro’s - Reading Terminal

You can meet Carolyn Wyman and get a copy of her book today at the Bellevue’s Food Court today between 11:30am and 2pm. She’ll be autographing her book and the first 100 guests today get a Rick’s Steaks T-shirt.

Mama’s is a great gooey mess. Leo’s is pretty good as well. Huge sandwiches.

The author should head on down to the West Chester area, because the Pepper Mill should be listed.
Gooey, chooped rib-eye deliciousness with the perfect amount of fried onions….the best place to cheesesteak in Chester County.

Finally Donkey’s gets some recognition. They’re the best.
