Arthur Kade Breaks Lounge Opening
Posted by Foobooz on August 14th, 2009
Until just this moment Foobooz has remained blissfully Arthur Kade free. But now comes word from the Sultan of Douchebagery that a new club, Recess Lounge is opening in Old City.
I have just gotten word, that there is a new “Membership/List Only” Lounge opening in Philly called Recess Lounge (Opening in Early-Mid September, and I will release the date once we get closer), that from what I am hearing is going to be the hottest ticket in town (My new term, and I think I may the be first person to formally announce it’s opening, but it’s taking over one of my favorite all time Philly locations (Lounge 125 where I have had some “Models and Bottles” great times), and I have heard that they are TOTALLY gutting the place (I have been told the design will be “Sick” and we will be able to dance on the furniture and rock it out “Kade Style” like I used to at Bungalow and Show in NYC), and making it “The Most Exclusive Members-Only Playground in Philaldelphia “, and knowing who’s involved, I think that this place is going to be “Insane” and “So Private that only the top 100-200 people in the city who are in the A-List are going to be allowed in (Which works beautifully for celebs like me because I don’t want to battle through crowds and fans all the time and just want my privacy to party with hot models and The Entourage at night).
Sorry about all that. Kade out!
For some fun, how many different iterations can you name for this spot next to Ritz Old City and under the parking garage.

This is one A-list run-on and on and on and on sentence full of “” and (), which works beautifully for celebs like me because I don’t want the hassle of writing pleb English when I gotta party “Kade style.”

Well…I guess it had to happen sooner or later.

As long as I don’t have to sit next to him at Bibou, we may yet be safe.

I think Arthur Kade can say he’s finally made it. The Journey is Over, hopefully.

Misread the headline of this post that Kade was OPENING a lounge. Scary moment.

Vomits a little. Praises all that is good that she’s on the z-list.

I am the first person in the world announcing this info: Michael Vick has signed with the Eagles. Just because someone says they broke a story or announced a club opening doesn’t mean it’s true. I’m disappointed in Foobooz would not even Google the words “Recess Lounge Philadelphia”, which would receive several hits of articles dated before his blog.

I’ve been hearing about this place more and more. It’s a shame that AK (I can’t even type his name) had to pop it’s cherry to the public. It will be interesting to see how a new lounge that stays open till 3 will do in old city. I hear its going to be completely redone. Hopefully it’s totally different than 125. Either way, I’m sure AK will not be on their list. He will, however, show up early and alone to get inside; as anyone can. He’ll stay the night and draw laughs and confused looks. Then he will wake up the next day alone and another step closer to madness and post that he was begged to go there by owners. We will laugh and all feel great about ourselves. It’s a win/win.

heard it is going to be amazing. I have been talking to people who are crazy buzzing about it. Old city really needed something new and word has it that the group putting it together is well traveled and smart about going out. So hopefully they bring something worthy of Philly… finally. We need it seriously.
