San Fran’s Michael Bauer is Down with Us
Posted by Foobooz on February 4th, 2010
San Francisco Chronicle food and wine critic Michael Bauer is cool with us. Back in September, 2007 he called out New York writers who claimed gastropubs were a New York thing, rightfully pointing out that the Standard Tap predated anything gastropub in NYC by four years.
And now he’s penned a post highlighting some of the great Philadelphia bites and service he had over a long weekend here. A weekend that included Zahav, Chifa, Amis, Vetri, James, John’s Roast Pork and Miller’s Twist. What’s not to like about that other than the scale awaiting your arrival home.
Michael Bauer, you’re al’ight with us.
