Jake’s Sandwich Board is giving out free pork sandwiches today starting at 11am. The new sandwich shop is located at 122 S 12th Street. The sandwiches are free until “the pig is kicked.”
Check out the video above to see the Jake’s crew shop for their whole pig at South Philly’s Hollywood Meat Market and then turn it into an array of sandwiches.

I almost overlooked this place’s opening but with whole pigs and carangi bread, this place is taking it’s sandwiches seriously. I look forward to trying one.

I just finished lunch from Jake’s, holy fuck was it awesome. I had the mensch, which is brisket w/horsey sauce, fried onions & a mild provolone. Excellent sandwich. On the side, the best onion rings ever.
Seriously, this was really really good. Go there.
