Chhaya Cafe is coming to 1823 E Passyunk Avenue in early August. It will be a coffee shop during the week, a brunch spot on weekends and a Venetian cicchetti on weekend nights.

During the week the menu will have a selection of sweet and savory waffles. Think of it as fried chicken and waffles with a twist like chicken curry with waffles and pulled pork waffles.

The cafe will also do much of its own baking, serving muffins, scones, cookies and cakes.

On Friday and Saturday nights the cafe will transform into a Venetian BYOB with small bites and snacks.
