It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time
Posted by kristen martin on August 27th, 2010
PBandU, a new restaurant serving a wacky menu of “peanut butter creations,” ranging from your typical PB&J to a peanut butter-bacon-cheddar-pickle sandwich (which, we’d imagine, you’d either have to be really pregnant or really, really stoned to crave), debuts in Wayne today at noon. We’re imagining the place will be a hit with the 10-and-under crew (after we investigate, we may end up adding it to the kid-friendly restaurant guide).
The nutty eatery celebrates its grand opening by offering $1 PB and jelly or PB and fluff sandwiches all week, but the regular price for a basic PB&J is $3. Would you pay $3 for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, the ultimate cheapo lunch box stuffer? Let us know in the comments.
PBandU, 163 East Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, 484-367-7799
(Regular hours will be Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

I love the creativity especially when it can help Wayne keep things unique but just don’t see it taking off……and open until 1:00 AM on Fridays? right…..we’ll see how long that lasts – maybe if they start serving PB&J flavored booze….

Unless there is a peanut butter milkshake that is to die for, I don’t really see this doing much for me and my family.

Just took my family there. Staff couldn’t be nicer and the choices are a little overwhelming at first. But I settled on the PB and Jam with Bacon. I mean what could be better! Really enjoyed it best of luck to PB&U

Went today for the first time. My two daughters LOVED IT. What a great inspiration these people are. Do what you love and love what you do is what they remind me of. I had a simple pbj with banana on wheat. Very good. My daughter loved the the p/with Nutella. All my best wishes to you. Hope you do morning lunch box specials. I think it would go over huge with SKS family.
