Power Neighbors on North Broad

Posted by Foobooz on October 7th, 2010

A very different power couple

From Michael Klein comes word that Stephen Starr and Marc Vetri are going to be opening neighboring restaurants on North Broad Street. Starr is planning on opening Route 6, a New England seafood house. It will be next to Marc Vetri’s forthcoming Birreria 600.

So does this mean people will stop referring to my place as being in “the ghetto” and “rapey”?

It’s great to see N Broad getting developed. Makes a lot of sense with the CC expansion.

Heather, if you live in the “loft district” I’m sorry but the answer is no.

There has been work in the Press building–clearing out the interior and such. By this time next year it should be more than half done.
And folks the reality is both spots are quite literally a 2 block shot from my place. What this means is in a very short area there will be 4 options now (protap being the other spot) Its good news, all of it.

So in that pic, Vetri is Dimaggio and Starr is his bitch, right?
