Balling It Up at Marabella

Posted by Foobooz on February 18th, 2011

Adam Erace hits up Marabella Meatball Co. and finds that the family can still make a tasty meatball.

“The beef gets flavor from the sauce, and the sauce gets flavor from the beef,” says the 27-year-old commercial real-estate broker. This culinary symbiosis produces meatballs of uncommon sweetness and texture. Dripping with cooked-all-day tomato-y goodness, the four beef orbs snuggled with sharp provolone in a long Liscio’s roll, so light I could have eaten four more.

I’m used to paying $4 for a meatball sandwich from a street vendor, but would gladly pay $9 for one at Marabella. They are delicious.
