Mica, Chip Roman’s second restaurant has opened in Chestnut Hill. The intimate restaurant is currently BYOB and brings a new high-end restaurant to Chestnut Hill.

The Space

  • Situated in old stone building on Germantown Avenue, formerly ¡Cuba!
  • 30-seats
  • Chef’s table for eight is located in a private room off of the kitchen
  • Subway tiled walls
  • Fireplace

The Food

  • Menu developed by Roman with help from Jason Cichonski, formerly of Lacroix
  • Driven by ingredients, not by origin or cuisine
  • Highlights include:
    • Sea urchin with whisky custard, passion fruit and cucumber
    • Fluke crudo with house pickled ginger, edamame, basil seeds and ponzu
    • Artichoke agnolotti with morel mushrooms
    • Elysian Fields lamb shoulder with butter radishes and peanut mole
    • John Dory with baby squash, walnuts and feta
  • In addition the restuarant will offer five and seven course prix fixe tasting menus

The Drink

  • Liquor license expected within a month
