Oh That Popcorn at Khyber Pass Pub

Brian Freedman reviews the new Khyber Pass Pub this week. He likes it. But right now the only thing we truly care about is this photo of bacon grease popcorn. We love it. We want it. We want it now.

      The Khyber has really done a great job (though I miss the bands). Good beer selection and the food is way better than I anticipated. Try the fries with gravy, with real chunks of quality roast beef. You can thank me later …

      Had their fried green tomato BLT last week. It was honestly the best BLT I’ve ever had in my life. Three of us had dinner and all thought it was excellent. In other good news: rumor is that the bands, comedy, etc. will be coming back in the near future. They have opened up the upstairs (took out that arch) and put the stage up there, and are now working on sound. Looking forward to it.

      That popcorn is bananas. And so are the debris fries (the aforementioned ones with roast beef gravy). Love the KPP.

      I didn’t think we needed another gastropub in this city, but KPP proved me wrong. The fried chicken is just awesome.
