Quick Bites: Azure Team Re-forms, Sbraga Cooks, Erawan Expands

Azure fans haven’t been happy since the popular Northern Liberties restaurant made way for Dos Segundos. But there’s reason to cheer as Father and son Bob and Brandon Bitros who owned Azure are opening Interstate Draft House in Fishtown. [The Insider]

Kevin Sbraga and Matt Levin are collaborating on a dinner at Adsum on Monday, April 25th. Seatings will be at 6, 8 and 10 p.m. [Adsum Restaurant]

Center City’s Erawan is opening a branch in Chinatown. The second location, which will be twice as big as the original is aiming to open April 1st at 925 Arch Street. [Zagat]

Jake’s Sandwich Board is now open Sunday from 12 to 6pm. [Jake's Sandwich Board]

24 Pennsylvania Walmarts will be getting wine kiosks. [Philly.com]

      Azure Bob is a douche who’s been slagging Dos Segundos all over the internet. I liked Azure, but you can be sure I’ll never patronize this new joint. Classless.

      Any news on when the new Erawan will open or what their delivery range will be?? I was so sad when we moved outside of their delivery zone.

      I live on the next block from the new Erawan and I’m so happy – we tried a couple of times to get the original Erawan to deliver to us and they told us we were just out of their range.

      I think they plan to open on Friday.

      I’ve eaten twice now at the new Erawan and it is awesome. The curries are ridiculous – so fresh & vibrant. Lovely people, too.

      Comments on this blog are disgusting, what happened to personal attacks and impersonators being removed. This is why I don’t look at foobooz…Azure was a great place and obviously these people are disgruntled employees. Interstate is open and the food and beer is amazing. Shame on you people.

      Azure, BTW, was a good restaurant. I ate there quite a few times. I would have looked forward to Interstate had Bob not exposed himself as an epic fail as a person.
