Hoof + Fin Closing

We just received word from Hoof + Fin that they will be closing up shop by the end of May. This one really bums us out as we really enjoyed our times there but the restaurant never seemed to catch on. Quahog’s in Stone Harbor will remain open.

So now you have but a couple of weeks to get what we consider the best empanadas in town.

Thank you for all the LOVE!

After giving it a lot of thought we have realized that  we miss the beach and that we may not be ready for a City Life; So we decided to Close HOOF+FIN doors by the end of May and put all our efforts on Quahog’s Seafood Shack at Stone Harbor NJ.
We want to thank everybody love and support and we hope you can stop by for a last dinner before we close or down the shore for some Pacu Pacu Fish Ribs and Moquecas.

      that name never appealed to me to make me want to try it. Silly, I know.

      @Mike: you weren’t alone. I always thought it sounded like a disesase.

      I never made it to this place either. I had a bit of a grudge against it, because (based on my admittedly small sample size) Quahog’s seemed to take a huge dip in quality after Hoof and Fin opened. I loved Quahog’s on my first three trips. The fourth trip, after H&F opened, was so bad we haven’t been back. Maybe with the captain back at the wheel, we’ll give it another shot this summer.

      Noooo! Theirs is the best calamari I’ve ever had. Had two really great experiences there…definitely a bummer.

      it was OK…and OK doesn’t work in the town anymore without a liquor license…

      it was a mistake to open down there, they should have opened in center city

      my wife and I love this place. Carlos has a special touch with seafood, specifically with cerviche. we ate here many times over the past year, and never had a bad meal. we are bummed to see it leave our neighborhood. Still going to have dinner at Quahog’s tomorrow night though.

      I am sad to hear that Hoof and Fin is closing! I have known the chef, Carlos, and the owners for years and I love the food they make. Not to mention, it was one of the only places to get Argentinean-inspired food in the area. The Latin food scene in Philly is lacking enough as it is. I am not happy, but I wish them well and will now have an excuse to go back to Stone Harbor.
