Around the Web: Frankford Hall Edition

Posted by Foobooz on May 23rd, 2011

Frankford Hall has been open less than a week but local bloggers have already checked out the scene.

Philly Phoodie gets past the opening day roped lines and service hiccups and has a ball at the new beer garden, ordering a major segment of the menu. [Philly Phoodie]

Living on the Vedge finds that even a vegan is welcome at Stephen Starr’s Frankford Hall. She also provides several noteworthy tips for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. [Living on the Vedge]

We wish they opened a little earlier on at least Fridays. 2PM Friday would be great for people kicking off their weekend a little early.

RSR, I agree. I bet they will modify once things get rolling and they realize they don’t need security guards and valet.

Amazing space, good food, bullshit beer list.

I’m surprised by them only having 9 beers on tap. Hell that dirty weird beer garden at Reading Terminal Market probably has that many. However, I really like the industrial vibe of the place. i wonder if they are going to have live music.

I stopped in last week and sat at the bar for a while. The staff was super knowledgeable about their beer. The guy with the headband and the girl with the dreads were very friendly and were able to field all my questions. I’m pretty schooled when it comes to German bier and the 2 of them seemed to know it all. The space is amazing I can’t wait to see what the summer brings.

@Michael, Unfortunatly, no, they will not have live music. I don’t believe they are allowed to actually.

Actually, they have had live music – a German Oompah band. Yes, this is contrary to what they agreed to during the zoning approval process.
