Cichonski to Ansill Space
Posted by Foobooz on June 10th, 2011
We were tipped off this morning that there was a new liquor license in the window at the former Ansill space at 3rd and Bainbridge. The fluorescent orange placard listed Roman Restaurants LLC as the corporation name. We started feverishly digging to see if it was related to Chip Roman (Blackfish/Mica).
And this afternoon we were told that it is indeed a Chip Roman restaurant, and that it would feature the talents and menu of Roman’s current chef at Mica, Jason Cichonski. Unlike Mica, where Cichonski is executing Roman’s vision, the Queen Village restaurant will feature the ideas of the talented Cichonski. The 26-year old former Lacroix executive chef promises a progressive American menu just two blocks from another former Lacroix chef, Matt Levin.
No name or opening date has been set.
