Quick Bites: Rapper’s Delight, Serafina Opening & Perrier’s Donation

Mayor Michael Nutter thrilled Karaoke participants at McGillin’s last night with his now classic rendition of Rapper’s Delight. No teleprompter was needed.
Serafina is opening next week. The official “pasta cutting” is Tuesday and the opening to the general public will follow.
University City Dining Days are from July 14th to 28th. Biba Wine Bar, JG Domestic and Baby Blues BBQ highlight the newcomers. Participating restaurants will offer a pre-fixe three-course dinner special for $15, $25 or $30. [UCDiningDays.com]
Sweet Elizabeth’s has opened on Main Street in Manayunk. The bakeshop seerves up everything from cupcakes to wedding cakes. [Meal Ticket]
Marshall Green of Cafe Estelle is the latest chef to plant his own garden. The 5×25 foot garden goes in next to the kitchen next week. [City Paper]
