Taste of the Nation Set for Monday

Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation is set for Monday, June 20th at the Loews Hotel. The benefit is again chaired by Jennifer Carroll of 10 Arts and is dedicated to making sure no kid grows up hungry. Tons of great restaurants participate and Foobooz is happy to offer you 15% off your $85 tickets.

This year’s event brings an expanded cocktail program developed by Mixology Chair Phoebe Esmon.

      Good lord, how many crappy “cupcakery”s are there in this city? Enough already. Really, just stop.

      There are a lot of great places on that list! For $85 (that goes to a great cause), that’s a deal. I’ll be there.

      Hey guess what? A Cupcake Wonderland just participated in Cupcake Wars to air on 6/21 – so probably not that “crappy”. And the list includes both the top rated restaurants (city & burbs) in Philly Mags Top 50 2011 – Fish & Blackfish – along with about a dozen others from list. And let’s see – Tashan is Tiffin’s new place opening on S. Broad, Khyber Pass is renewed and hot – I won’t go on but will say I have been to this event before and last year the food was phenominal! Huge bargain too – all you can eat and drink for price of admission PLUS it’s for a great cause~

      @ Diane, then don’t go and spend your $85 on what you feel in your “expert culinary opinion” is a good restaurant, while some kid goes to bed hungry.
