Quick Bites: New Thai is Close, a Third Sabrina’s and Brisket Cheesesteak

Forget Always Sunny’s Sweet Dee, we’re excited for Sawatdee. The Thai restaurant by Dmitri’s alum Samarn “Tony” Inchote is just about set to open at 15th and South. The tables and chairs have recently been delivered but they’re still being coy about the exact date.
Drexel is getting its own Sabrina’s this Fall. The third location for Sabrina’s will be at the corner of 34th and Powelton. [The Insider]
Mark Coates’ (Bebe’s BBQ, Fergie’s) is aiming for an August 1st start for his Smoke Truck. We are intrigued about their plans for a smoked brisket cheesesteak. [The Feast]

Sampan had to cancel its Sunday service due to a sewer problem. Michael Schulson’s restaurant was back in full swing last night.
Kokopelli has called it quits as a restaurant. The upstairs will remain a dance club under the name Keva. [Philly Chit Chat]
