Nomad Pizza Wandering To Philly
Posted by Meghan Ross on July 28th, 2011

You might remember Tom Grim’s name from the ice cream joint called Thomas Sweet that once lived at Broad and Spruce (and today exists only in memory–and in New Jersey and Washington D.C., under different owners). Now, Grim and partner Stalin Bedon have graduated to pizzas and are opening up the second location of their Nomad Pizza in the empty nest of Richard Landau’s Horizons sometime in October.
Nomad Pizza will be serving wood-fired pizzas (which are already beloved at the original Hopewell, NJ location), along with beer, wine and appetizers. For an early taste, check out Nomad’s 1949 REO Speedwagon pizza truck (decked out with a wood-fired brick oven, refrigerator, sink, and on-board sound system) when it cranks out pizzas at the Mt. Airy Night Market on August 4th or at the Chinatown Night Market in September.
(Psst…we also just heard Nomad Pizza won the Pizza Olympics, so they’ve got to be good.)
