Khyber Pass Pub Adds New Orleans Brunch

Posted by Foobooz on December 8th, 2011

Strawberry Mimosa, Bananas Foster French Toast, Praline Bacon

The Khyber Pass Pub is starting a traditional New Orleans brunch served Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expect Cajun and Creole classics like Boudin and Eggs, and Shrimp, Tasso and Anson Mills Grits smothered in Creole gravy. For the sweet tooth there will be Bananas Foster French Toast made with Leidenheimer bread and of course Beignets.

And since a New Orleans brunch cannot be a sober affair, a full menu of breakfast cocktails including Creole Bloody Marys  Bourbon Milk Punches and Hurricanes will also be available.

As a native New Orleanian, it brings a tear to my eye that Philadelphians will now know the joy that is Praline Bacon.

Does this mean no more po’ boys on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00-4:00 p.m.? I’m sure the brunch will be great, but that sucks.

    3. Jessica Says:

Shrimp, Tasso and grits. Awesome. I cannot wait.

@Nolaphilly We love our bacon, and especially our Praline Bacon! Hope you’ll come in and try it soon!

@Tex Not to worry! We’re still offering our regular Lunch Menu in addition to our New Orleans Brunch Menu!

@Jessica Soooo good. Hope to see you in for brunch soon!

Khyber, you guys rock my world. It makes me so happy that you’re gonna do brunch while still offering the regular lunch menu. Doin’ the right thing. I’ll be there Saturday, getting my grillades & grits & my load on.

The brunch is unreal. I was visiting from Brooklyn with a friend and we had plans to go to Han Dynasty but we enjoyed the company of Janele and Lilly so much that we stayed all afternoon instead. I suggest eating EVERYTHING on the menu and sticking to the beer selections on their draft list, cocktails are great and all, but where else can you get that many great beers on tap WITH your southern brunch.

Praline Bacon + Beer + Awesome Chicks, J & L + That jukebox = Never going anywhere else.
