For the second year in a row we asked our readers to name their favorite dishes of the year. You all came through in a big way, naming your favorite food of 2011.

We compiled the most mentioned dishes to create 2011 – The Menu. The menu ranges across the Philadelphia restaurant landscape.

      Lees Deli 4700 Baltimore ave for excellent Veggie cheese steakless sandwich.shredded carrots red onions and a host of sauces come with this choice. Fraks Steaks in Manayunk for a delish seitan steak sandwich with daiya vegan cheese and bread. Monks on 16th for a awesome shredded seitan steak sandwich and some moroccon dishes from chef Keith ballew The Adobe cafe on passyunk ave and the 1st location on mitchell street roxbourough for excellent mexican veg and vegan dishes.Chef Rafael behind the wheel here.Sketch cafe on Girard for different tasting seitan and veg dishes. Ask Phyliss to make you a teriyaki dish.Interstate draft house has opened on Palmer off Girard with an old chef John from The original Azure restaurant making creations to fill the need.Milk boy On Chestnut and 11th with chef John has joined the club cooking up tasty veg dishes here.Locopez .Alfa owner and chef Joe Hunt has begun cooking up nice mexican seitan dishes on norris street in fishtown to name a few.Check out the web for more locations and eat well be well.Adios Michaelsseitan.com
