Revel Reveals Two More Restaurants

When Revel opens this spring, it will have no shortage of brag-worthy restaurants. They’ve already got two Iron Chefs on staff (Jose Garces and Marc Forgione) doing four restaurants between them, plus a place for mussels.  And last week, the marketing team announced restaurants #6 and #7 out of an anticipated 12.

Azure by Allegretti highlights chef Alain Allegretti’s upbringing in Nice, France and his experience in the kitchens of the Michelin-starred establishments of Jacques Maximin and Alain Ducasse, along with his own New York City restaurant, La Promenade des Anglais.  Allegretti will cook Italian and French dishes in a style he’s calling “a modern take on Riviera classics.” This means a menu full of handmade pastas, Mediterranean whole fish, and a raw bar, along with a premium wine list.

Lugo Caffe is being hailed as “an energetic brasserie” that promises an update to authentic modern Italian dishes in a waterfront spot that’s the first expansion from the NYC location. Owned by LDV Hospitality and helmed by chef Stefano Chiaruga, Lugo Caffe will serve  homemade pastas, brick oven pizza, meatballs and house-made mozzarella. The wine list will boast 80 different selections, including a Prosecco, Pinot Grigio and Chianti made exclusively for the restaurant. Also exclusive will be an unfiltered Tuscan olive oil–though it probably won’t be available by the glass.

Azure by Allegretti and Lugo Caffe join the Belgian Mussel Bar, Marc Forgione’s American Cut, and three Garces outposts: Amada, Village Whiskey and Distrito Cantina.
