New logo minus the jester.

I don’t get the jester either.

A jester appears in the Blithering Idiot and Zotten label (Now called Verbotten) and seems to be a continuation of that theme.

I guess the new one? But they both hurt my eyes, which is unfortunate because I love the beer. Hire a new graphic designer. Please.

Is there a “C”, for “none of the above”? I thought they contracted a graphic arts firm or something, it seems a while back now, to help them with this. This is what they came up with?! The letters seem a bit too narrow(?). Might be easy to glance past this and have no idea what it says. That sangria bkgd color’s gotta go, too. I wish I could say what would be better. Replace the jester with something else? Not much help, sorry.

Love Weyerbacher’s beer but lord have mercy: “C, None of the Above”. There’s plenty of hungry graphic designers in Philly that could knock it out of the park for Dan & Co.

C, I was so excited to see what they’d come up with to replace their blah old logo, and then I was so, so disappointed. Jester or no, it screams 1990 Grateful Dead cover band.

If your not into the Jester, your obviously a Whitney Houston fan.

At least you knew the old one took someone about 5 seconds to make… but to think someone spent time making that jester? wtf.

Who doesn’t love a good old Comic Sans WordArt piece?

Like the font, background color ok but the jester has to go, creeping me out. A little too satanic, looks like a scruffy Amish beard and ram horns. He’s going to take my money and not deliver. I just know it. And I don’t like dismembered heads on signs, except Boar’s Head meats on the side of a Brunkhorst Provisions truck. That truck is one class act, red and black with gold…but guess I’m getting off topic a bit.

i dig it. the new logo makes sense as its coming from a brewery that focuses on big beers. the evil nature is appropriate. i think they did a good job. at we must all remember, its about the LIQUID!

I’ll pick “C” also…this thing is horrible with the jester, looks like it was drawn with crayons by a grade school student….do yourself a favor and hire a professional graphic designer, brand recognition is extremely important

as a graphic designer, i have to say that while neither of the logos are MY cup of tea, they may be the client’s cup of tea. often, a graphic designer is hired to make a client’s specific idea a reality. i often give the client exactly what they want even if it’s not what i would choose. that’s the difference between an artist and a graphic designer. the latter has a client, and so when judging the work, the blame should often be placed on the client.

Also choice C. It’s unfortunate. I always thought the beer was great in general and when I heard they were getting a label update I woo hoo-ed, because their old labels were terrible. I’m a big fan of 1990′s Grateful Dead cover bands, but this jester has got to go.

That jester looks like Ansill.

I like the new logo type only.
No offense to the artist , or concept person. But you have a Great beer! Don’t cheese it up with some goofy jugglao.

If there were a (c) i’d choose that – the Art direction is just bad in general. Truth be told with Weyerbacher – it has never been good. All of the label designs look a bit goofy. But the Beers are great. Analyze what’s successful and borrow from that.
