The Corner’s Happy Hour

Posted by Foobooz on March 1st, 2012

Someone recently commented on Foobooz that The Corner on 13th Street deserved more buzz and we couldn’t agree more. The fried jalapeño cream cheese balls, the popcorn crusted shrimp (pictured), the lobster pot pie and bacon wrapped pork tenderloin all are reasons to stop in to sample John Taus’ cooking. The happy hour deals  from 5 to 7 p.m. are another reason.

I’ve had some difficulty trying to go to The Corner’s happy hour. Is it upstairs, downstairs? I’ve been told by a hostess it’s upstairs, which seems to have been closed at that time, or on Mondays…or they don’t serve food up there…if someone would clarify, I’d really appreciate it.

Haven’t been there in a while but we were able to have HH downstairs and out front during the summer. It was the bomb.

The Corner’s Happy Hour is available Monday-Friday from 5pm-7pm throughout the entire restaurant. You can enjoy our Happy Hour deals at any table or bar stool that is available. For the time being the 2nd floor of the restaurant will be closed Mondays through Thursdays, only brunch is available on Sundays. Once the warm weather returns the second floor will be open more frequently.

My sincerest apologies to all of our fans; I believe I’ve posted a bit of misleading information. Brunch is also available on Saturdays as well. The Corner serves brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 2:30pm. What I meant to say is that we only do a brunch on Sundays, no dinner service that day.

Would like to see more beer choices for HH. Kensinger and Sly Fox don’t make want to come in. Other than that I think it’s a great deal and great place. Love the food.
