Tonight: It’s Shad Season at Oyster House
Posted by Foobooz on March 12th, 2012

If you’re not an hospitality insider, The Oyster House is kicking off Shad Week tonight. The migratory fish is only in season for a short time and Oyster House is serving up a special three-course dinner for $40 through Saturday, March 17th.
The menu includes:
Pickled Shad with beets, cucumbers, crème fraiche and rye croutons
Smoked Shad Roe Croquette with confit shad emulsion and pickled spring onion
Seared Shad with fava beans, grilled cippolini, pea tendrils and romesco
And for anyone who is wondering, Fishtown’s Shad Fest is scheduled for April, 28th.
