At 9:50 this evening the Temple takes on hated Southern Florida (a team we’ve worked up a strong dislike for since Sunday). So wherever you are, root for the Owls.

Saturday

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day and we want you to celebrate correctly, namely avoiding green beer and drinking Irish whiskey well. Our other standard St. Patrick’s Day advice is to take a rain check and hang out at a Mexican bar. After all limes are green, guacamole is green and you can always get a Guinness on Cinco de Mayo.

If you do insist on going Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, we suggest getting a Sly Fox Seamus Red, it’s a beer we really dig.

We just posted a couple of brunch spots for you to consider. Later in the day there’s Varga Bar’s salute to Michigan. Sample Bell’s HopSlam and New Holland Blue Sunday Sour. Kegs start flowing at 8 p.m.
