Victory Brewing Is Expanding

If you have a brewery in the Delaware Valley you’re expanding. Tröegs, Weyerbacher, Flying Fish, Sly Fox and now Victory Brewing are among the expanding breweries. Downingtown based Victory Brewing Company is opening a second brewery in Chester County.

The new brewery is being built within an existing complex in Parkesburg, PA, just as the Downingtown brewery was built in a former Pepperidge Farm factory. More importantly, the Parkesburg location of Victory Brewing will be 17 miles from the headwaters of the west branch of the Brandywine Creek, the original brewery is 14 miles from the headwaters of the east branch of the Brandywine. Perhaps Victory will do east and west versions of their Headwaters Pale Ale.

Over the next five years the brewery will add more than 50 full-time jobs to the brewer’s workforce. The expansion will also make it possible for Victory to bring back some brands that haven’t been seen in sometime. Ultimately, most of the flagship brewing will be moved to the Parkesburg facility and the Downingtown brewery will specialize in limited-edition and experimental beers.
