Roundeye Is Now Cheu Noodle Bar


Ben Puchowitz and Shawn Darragh of Roundeye Noodle Bar have settled on a new name, one hopefully no one objects toCheu Noodle Bar. Cheu as in chewy, the style of noodle Ben and Shawn most enjoy, not hard or mushy, just chewy.

Ben and Shawn are also announcing pop-up number three for Sunday, April 1st. The format will be similar to the last pop-up, reservations will be accepted beginning on Saturday, March 31st at 10 a.m. The ramen will be served at Matyson on Sunday from 4:30 p.m to 8:30, cash only.

The menu has been expanded for this pop-up. There is a new snack section that includes lamb belly buns and barbecue pig tails. Also the ramen broth has been tweaked for this time around.

Vegetables

Asparagus – smoked egg, lotus root, miso-truffle (v) 7

Broccoli – vietnamese sausage, peanuts, sweet soy 7

Peas – togarashi butter, mint, lime, sesame (v) 7

Snacks

Steamed Buns – lamb belly, cucumber, harissa  8

BBQ Pig Tails – ramp kimchi 8

PEI Mussels – rice cakes, chorizo, pickled chili sauce 8

Noodles

Pork Belly Ramen – soy stained egg, kale, shitakes, shoulder 10

Mushroom Miso – charred tofu, pea leaves, long beans   (v) 9

Dan Dan Duck – foie gras, peanuts, mustard greens, thai basil 12

Juice

Pineapple – vanilla, jalapeno, thai basil 4

Banana – sesame, vietnamese coffee 4

Plum – star anise, ginger, yogurt 4

Call 215-564-2925 no earlier than 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 31st. There will be a waiting list and you’re reservation will be confirmed on Sunday, April 1st. If you do not confirm, you’re reservation will be cancelled.
