Jose Garces’s Global Domination Infographic

It wasn’t so long ago that local boy Jose Garces had just one lonely address in Philadelphia. Look how things have changed in just five short years.

And he’s not stopping at 18. Garces Catering is taking over all catering and concessions at Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts as of June 1st.

Garces also has plans to open a full-service restaurant this winter at the Kimmel Center with an entrance at 15th and Spruce streets.

      Incredible, simply incredible. Kudos to you chef, I have no idea how you keep up with it all.

      Garces Trading Co. opened in early 2010, not in 2011. And Garces gave an interview to someone (Eater?) after the Laban four-bell shakeup saying that he’s going to get his fourth bell by opening another restaurant to just “cook what he wants.” God forbid he should do that at any of his existing restaurants. Do we really need another theme park?

      JG Domestic opened in 2010, not 2011. And didn’t Chifa and VW open in 2009?
