Honest Tom’s Is Giving Away Its Truck

Posted by Foobooz on June 28th, 2012

Honest Tom’s store is keeping him busy enough that he can’t get his taco truck into a regular schedule. So Tom is giving it away.

For those that have inquired or anyone else it may concern:
We have been trying to get the truck back into regular rotation for months now, but with the shop schedule being as demanding as it is we have realized that it is not going to be possible. So we’ve come up with a plan…
As good as the truck has been to us we’ve decided it cannot be burdened with a monetary value. We will be gifting it to a noble up and comer looking to dive into the dark scary world of food trucking. Email honesttoms@gmail.com with why you should be the chosen one and we will make a decision on monday the 9th of july, meaning emails must be in that Sunday by midnight.

You’ve got to July 9th to come up with a compelling reason/business plan that you want his truck.

He should post all the requests he receives and let his fans/clients vote on the most deserving one. He can still pick the ultimate winner (or is that wiener)?

I almost did not read the post. It’s an amazing opportunity for someone that wants to get started in the business.

I graduated from law school a year ago and have found the legal
profession to be a cold and lifeless place much like the surface of
the moon, it chokes the life out of me and it is fair to say I was
already thinking about a career change when I saw you were giving away
a food truck. Two things I am passionate about is the freedom to live
as we please and food and it came as a shock when last week I had to
call out because of a bout of food poisoning I got from eating food
from a disreputable food truck. Well, because I don’t work for myself
I got in hot water at work and it made me realize even more what
little freedom I have to make my life what I want it to be when I have
swim every morning into a corporate abise. Even if working for myself
is more work overall, when I eventually do work for myself I know it
will be more rewarding, flexible and fun and will allow my to show off
my creative bone. I love cooking and Andrew Zimmern and if awarded
the truck I would serve tacos in many classic flavors (i.e. fish
tacos) but I would also include some tacos of the bizarre variety like
      goat, bear, elk and emu.

Thanks and I hope to hear from you!
