Nobody does Bastille Day in Philadelphia like Fairmount. Eastern State Penitentiary plays the part of the Bastille and Fairmount Avenue becomes a Parisian boulevard. London Grill and its new sister establishment, Paris Wine Bar, promise to make this year’s festivities the biggest yet.

Fairmount certainly goes overboard when it comes to Bastille Day but it is hardly the only place that will be celebrating. Peter Woolsey’s Bistrot La Minette has a feast and special drinks planned tonight through Sunday. The 6th Street restaurant will be offering several choices for soup, main course and dessert, along with a 12-item second-course buffet: salads, pâte, quiche, etc. The feast costs $40 and doors will openan hour earlier (4:00 p.m.) on the 14th. Full Menu.
