Dodgers Pay Homage to Philadelphia, We Guess We’re Honored?

Posted by Foobooz on July 17th, 2012

With the red-hot Phillies in Los Angeles this week, Dodger Stadium is offering a Philly Cheesesteak hot dog. Interestingly we cannot find anyone in the city of Philadelphia who is combining a hot dog and a cheesesteak on the same roll.

There is of course the hot dog cheesesteak hoagie we had a part in creating but that doesn’t actually combine the two sandwiches into one.

On their specials menu Moe’s Hotdog House has an item called something like “the Philly Dog” and that it is… Levi’s dog with cheese steak slathered on like a condiment. My co-worker says its quite good and I believe him.

I just came back from LA, went to the Dodger game on Monday. The Dodger dogs are complete crap, tastes of a canned vienna sausage and the texture of a mix meat oscar meyer weiner. The “all beef” super dodger dog is slightly less than par with beef ball park brand.

I just ate one at CBP. I was at a special event for my company, and Dapper Dogs was there, and they were offering Cheese Steak Hot Dogs. Quite good!
