Food at Jamonera is tasty but with all due respect the word “Tapas” and the phrase “Tasting Menu” can never be used together especially if most of the food being served is pre-prepared items that are essentially just plated when you order it. This is not a 10 course dinner or a tasting menu.It is just 10 different Tapas.Silly stuff like this confuses the public now that people think they are getting 10 courses for 35bucks and it simply is not true.

Where do your rules regarding what can be considered a tasting menu and what isn’t come from? I would love to read it.

      Tspb.
A Tapa is 1 or 2 bites of appetizer sized food usually had standing up at a bar….in Spain.
Even if we put that aside “Tapas-Tasting-Menu” is the dumbest phrase a restaurant has come up with. A tasting menu is a series of dishes cooked by the kitchen to specifically highlight their techniques and ingredients composed of non regular menu items. If that is not the case then every restaurant menu is effectively a tasting menu. What would be the difference. You just can’t preselect Tapas and call it a tasting menu. That is beyond lame.

It looks to me like this is indeed “a series of dishes cooked by the kitchen to specifically highlight their techniques and ingredients.” This is a fantastic Tapas style restaurant, offering a 10-dish/course/tapas/menu/meal. I don’t understand your beef.
