I remember the old guy singing at the Triangle in the early 90's. Of course back then Yuengling Lager drafts were 75 cents. Now that I think of it i think the Royal Izakaya was in the planning stages back then as well or at least it seems like they have been planning it since then.

For the record, that initial Meal Ticket did say "reportedly" and did include the notion that Simons had yet to weigh in.

Plus, though the initial bidding occurred some time ago, it wasn't THAT long of awhile that this all happened - it was only last Thursday into Friday that the deal between Triangle and Simons finally and truly broke down. All parties were on hand-shaking terms last Thursday.

I know time is hastened in the food biz but it ain't speed of light quite yet.

At any rate, it would be great to see someone with Frank/Simons neighborhood savvy and credibility take over the Triangle. That would make for one great bridge between the Italian Market and East Passyunk.
Carry on and thanks.
