Reservations For Zahav’s Chef Counter Going Live

Hey, remember when we told you about that super-exclusive chef’s counter going in at Zahav where, for the ridiculously low price of just $90, Michael Solomonov himself will cook you a 10-course dinner? Yeah, well reservations for what are bound to be the four hardest seats in the city to get are opening up today. In about an hour, actually.

You want in on this deal? Then you need to send an email to counter@zahavrestaurant.com NO EARLIER THAN NOON TODAY. And, I’m guessing, no later than noon-oh-one. Zahav and Solomonov will be taking reservations for eight nights in September (the 7th and 8th, the 14th and 15th, the 21st and 22nd and the 28th and 29th), and are only offering one seating a night. Which means that there are a grand total of 32 seats available for the entire month.

      noon on the 1st of the month for reservations for the following month.

      Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis for the

      requested date and the number of people in your party (either two or

      Uh… Sounds to me like you got that because you tried to email them too early. It doesn’t say they’re full, it says they’re not taking reservations until noon on the first of the month–which is in 11 minutes.

      Try again.

      Foobooz – Zahav’s website states that availability is on Fridays and Saturdays, not Tuesdays and Wednesdays!

        I believe you’re looking at the August calendar, not September’s.

      I was confused about the Tues/ Wed thing not matching the dates on Zahav’s site, so I called over and asked them and they said the dinners were on Fridays and Saturdays, not Tuesdays and Wednesdays and they weren’t sure why Foobooz said that.

      Well, response must have been extraordinarily, because I timed my email to the world clock–got delivery confirmation for 12:00:03–and was still REJECTED. Maybe next month.

      How do you know you were rejected? Did they respond to you? Or you’re just assuming because you never heard back?
