Honest Tom’s Special Tacos
Though Honest Tom’s has kicked off its wheels and can only be found at its brick-and-mortar location in University City, Tom still has legions of taco lovers flocking in. If you head over after 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday you can score one of their special fish tacos with pickled shallots, grilled pineapple, jalapeño aioli, and fresh cilantro.

As a Rittenhouse Square staple since 1998 Rouge and their current executive chef Sam Noh continue to keep their park-side bistro humming with their fish tacos. Filled with tilapia, avocado, romaine, lime, and mango salsa, their take on the taco is not to be missed.

Sabrina’s Café in the Italian Market offers a Baja fresh fish taco. This version is served on a corn tortilla with radishes, carrots, pico de gallo, and chipotle lime crema. Sabrina’s tacos are served at all three of their locations, including their spots inUniversity City and Fairmount.

Mahi-Mahi in East Passyunk and NoLibs
The good people at Cantina Los Caballitos serve up mahi-mahi tacos topped with cilantro and onions (with guac and sour cream for a little extra) all day long on East Passyunk Avenue. Luckily for the north their sister restaurant Cantina Dos Segundos (931 N 2nd St., 215-629-0500 ) brings you the same dish up in Northern Liberties.

Gustavo’s Cod Fish Tacos
The Latin-inspired Fairmount restaurant BlueCat has a special twist on fish tacos. Their Gustavo’s Cod Fish Tacos (under their “Catwiches” menu) feature batter-dipped filets topped with avocado, pico de gallo, shredded cabbage, and chipotle mayo on blue corn tortillas.

Tacos at Morgan’s Pier
Despite David Katz’s recent closing of Meme, his influence over the newly opened Morgan’s Pier menu remains. You can eat their Baja fish American tacos served on flour tortillas with lime and radish, red cabbage, and chipotle crema while overlooking a view of the water.
