Grub Street reports that Buca di Beppo on 15th Street has closed.
Candlelight vigil begins this evening at 6 p.m. The Italian chain is pulling out of its Center City location almost five years after it was first reported that they were looking to leave.
Michael Klein delivers this additional tidbit, a “New Jersey-based pub chain is in deep negotiations for 15th Street.” Sounds like P.J. Whelihan’s to us. And we’re A-OK with that, we much prefer PJ’s to Fox and Hound. And it will be a welcome sight to Jerseyites exiting the PATCO station down the block.
UPDATE: Michael Klein has updated his post with a denial from the property agent regarding the NJ based pub.
