ProTap Peeps Opening Bufad, a Pizza Restaurant on Spring Garden

Eater has the details on Bufad, the pizza shop coming to 13th and Spring Garden from Michael and Jeniphur Pasquarello, the team behind the area’s Cafe Lift and Prohibition Taproom. The 30-seat pizzeria will have a wood-fired oven and plans to open in November.

That’s not all for the Pasquarellos, they’ve just signed a lease for 1310 Frankford Avenue, one of two recently refurbished spots on that stretch of Frankford Avenue sporting fluorescent orange liquor license applications.

      I’m all for a good slice of pizza, and I like the idea of pizza al’ taglio, but seriously, another pizza joint? Come on philadelphia, bring an untouched cuisine to the forefront!!

      Yes because this 30-seat pizzeria on Spring Garden St is aiming to be at the forefront of the city’s culinary landscape.

      Personally I am more concerned with the rise of the name “Jeniphur.”

      @ suburbanite: good. don’t go and crowd me out (their pizza on cafe lift’s menu is very tasty, especially considering they don’t have a pizza oven there). My/that hood doesn’t have a good pizza place (Osteria doesn’t count because you can’t take out/get delivery. Their pizza is phenomenal, tho). lol at someone calling themselves suburbanite complaining about boredom/lack of untouched cuisine.

      And if pizza’s so boring, how come pizza places make top 50 lists of best new restaurants in the nation?
