Drink Beer, Do Good at Phestiv-Ale

Posted by Jason Sheehan on August 16th, 2012

You like beer, right? And, unless you’re some kind of asshole, you also like helping other people. So how ’bout doing both at the same time?

That’s the idea behind Phestiv-Ale–a serious beer fest coming up early next month with the added benefit of part of the proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. But hey, why are you sitting there like a chump reading words when the Phestiv-Ale people have made a video to promote their good-time-for-a-good-cause event.

Like the man said, more information is available at phestivale.com. In the meantime, I’m going to go gather up some slugs…

I am not SOME kind of asshole — I’m a bit more particular than that — but while I won’t be able to make the fest — traveling to faraway beer destinations, like the beer-loving asshole I am — I concur: you really oughta go to this fest, which WILL donate a significant amount of money to this very worthy charity.

Drink beer. Have fun. Do good. How can you miss?

Looking forward to what is sure to become a new Philly tradition – with the added benefit that no assholes will be present.

Well there you have it folks, the official opinion of Pennsyltucky Lew, just in case you were wondering what the Hillbillies think. Wow it really matters you won’t be there, how will they get by?

Jethro, Lew Bryson is in the city three times a year and visits the same four bars to drink the same bland session beers each time. The rest of the time he sits at home way out yonder typing his opinion based on what he reads elsewhere praying someone mails him a beer to review well in trade. How could anyone else be more qualified to call themself a beer expert? Oh yeah, and he’s really made big changes happen in the LCB with his rant blog. Any day now…..

So these last couple guys who are too scared to use their real names when spewing passive-aggressive hatred will not be there then? Great, count me in!
