Free Frozen Yogurt, Free Pulled Pork, Free Shake Shack and Free Breakfast This Weekend

In the event that your payday falls next Friday instead of today, here are some free offers to note:

PhillyChitChat announces via TwitPic that today is the grand opening of Red Mango, where they’re giving away free frozen yogurt (with toppings!) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Also, t-shirts to the first 100 customers, in case you feel the need to rock a frozen yogurt tee.

Should you find yourself out the Wyncote way on Saturday morning, be advised that the local outpost of Andy’s Diner is offering free omelets, coffee, French toast, etc. from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Zucchini fries certainly sound like a wise idea, especially when they are giving them away at SoWe during Saturday’s 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. happy hour, but I’m guessing that means they’re expecting you to buy a beer or something.

Sunday is corkage fee-free at the perennially underrated Davio’s, which isn’t exactly the same as giving away free stuff, but still.

At Spring House’s just-opened Japanese-Korean spot Surah, each table will be treated to a bowl of steamed edamame all weekend long. I haven’t been, but there’s a big communal table in the center, and I hear that the bulgogi and galbi are “divine.”

Over at Bob & Barbara’s on Sunday, while you enjoy $3 Jim Beam and PBR specials, cushion the blow with free platters of Chef Lucky’s Brunswick stew with cornbread or BBQ pulled pork and mashed potatoes from 3 p.m. until it runs out. If you don’t give him a nice tip, though, everyone will think you’re really, really cheap, which you don’t want. Even if you are. (I’d go with a five spot).

$29 isn’t free, but it is still the insanely low price of the “many-course” Sunday supper at Sycamore in Lansdowne. But act quickly, because I hear they might be upping the price. But definitely not for this weekend.

Meanwhile, Shake Shack manager Allan Ng promises free high-fives… TODAY ONLY! (Boooooo…)
