I’m hoping this actually happens (and stays open). Philly hasn’t had success with anything Dutch… I’ve been dreaming of the bitterballen for 2 months but I’m hoping we can do a broodje kroket with mosterd instead of the balls! *pretty please*

You can get space cake from one of the coffee shops in the Netherlands, well you won’t be able to after the first of the year when the laws change to only allow Dutch citizens in the coffee shops. But i can’t remember anything from Dutch cuisine but i’ll give them a try.

The only good Dutch food that I’ve had in my travels to Holland is the Rijsttafel which is actually Indonesian. And falafel. I can’t even name a Dutch food.

when did i mention the danes? i was just making up my own name for what i see as a trend of “northern influenced” cooking, and I am anticipating that this restaurant, while DUTCH will of course be touching on the trend which is mostly… scandinavian. see bachelor farmer, vandaag, plaj, et alia. so bring on the “northern” cooking, i am sick of tapas and neapolitan pizza.

The Netherlands is not in Scandinavia. You are confusing it with Denmark. But there should be some northern influences.
