Rex 1516 Rolls Out New Menu This Evening

The crawfish pot-pie is still on the menu

Chef Regis Jansen is rolling out his new menu at Rex 1516 tonight. Check out the Scotch duck eggs, beignets stuffed with chaurice and shrimp, topped with jalapeno jelly. Then go with the double cut pork chop with rosemary grits as an entree. Also check out some of the cocktails which have also been updated for fall.

Do they still let dogs in their restaurant? Because I’m not going there no matter what’s on their menu until that’s fixed.

Rex 1516 has never allowed dogs in the restaurant, however, dogs are more than welcome to join their owners at an outside table. We have several neighborhood dogs that wait patiently outside our door for the home-made sweet potato biscuits we make for them.

Rex is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in the city. Excellent service, excellent food, and terrific drinks. Excited to try the new menu. I have my sights set on that Stuffed Beignet.
Overpriced

The prices are too high, especially in that location.
