I stopped by the other day to have the Churchill Burger that I recommend as the best in Philly and was shocked that they took it off the menu. I was reassured by the waitress that the its replacement was even better. I am sad to say I was disappointed. The most awesome thing about the Churchill was its simplicity. The meat was the star and the caramelized onions served as a perfect and lone accent to enhance the meats flavor. My girlfriend and I never thought we would order a burger that intentionally came without cheese, but this was a work of an artist and was perfect as it was. The new “Burger” Burger (aka the Churchill slayer) uses the same meat, but hides behind blue cheese, bacon, and pickled onions which completely overpowers the unique and delicious blend of meat that make this burger special. Keeping the menu “Fresh” sounds like a pretty good strategy but to quote Mr.Churchill “However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.”
