Ralic’s Steakhouse Philly Expansion Gets A Proper Name and A Date

Posted by Jason Sheehan on October 19th, 2012

In Haddonfield, Ralic’s is a boutique steakhouse. But when David Ralic jumps across the river to open on South Street, he’ll be bringing Philly a “seafood-themed sports bar” featuring a dozen 50-inch flatscreens, undersea murals and, apparently, an octopus the size of a small SUV mounted over the restaurant’s entrance.

The new joint will be called Ralic’s On South. Right now, the team is looking at a mid-November opening. And for any of you pros out there who’ve just been waiting for that perfect seafood-themed-giant-octopus-sports-bar gig to come along, this is your moment. The house is currently hiring for all positions, including exec chef.

That sounds weird, but so am I. Coming from a seafood & sports lover that lives 7 blocks away from South, I’m kind of excited to check this out. Better than the disasters and vacancies that the spot has been over the past decade or so. That’s for sure.
