Crisp Is Now Grillicious

Posted by Foobooz on November 19th, 2012

After a year long run as Crisp, the falafel spot at 18th and Ludlow is rebranding itself as Grillicious. And that’s not the only change as the fast-serve spot is now offering some non-vegetarian options.

The new menu offers flatbread sandwiches (gone is the orignal pita), salads, hummus bowls and an angus burger.

The new Grillicious is under the same ownership and opens to the public tomorrow, Tuesday, November 20th.

I really loved Crisp’s delicious falafel but unfortunately I can not in good conscience patronize a place named “Grillicious”. That name is a complete grillzaster.

The name may be terrible, but the logo and menu design are the real crimes.

They have great food!! I love iT! Why the change? Was the restaurant not doing as well as the owners would have hoped?

It was a very small franchise out of NYC, so the relationship with Crisp may have been terminated for any number of reasons not due to how much business they were doing.

Its only been open like 2 weeks and I’ve already been there 3 times for lunch during the week. The name may suck, but the food is legit, simple, and quick. Also, when I’m in there the last thing that I think of is a grill…so…here’s hoping the name doesn’t doom them. I’d miss my lunch spot.
